Alberta Health Services Immunization Reminder
20 Nov
RE: Reminder of Importance to Immunization
As Alberta Health Services continues to offer H1N1 vaccine to target groups across the province, school communities are reminded of the importance of immunization. Vaccination is the very best way to prevent influenza.
Experts predict a third wave of H1N1 will arrive early in the new year. All parents, students and teachers should ensure they are protected by getting immunized as quickly as possible.
Beginning Friday, November 20th the criteria for receiving vaccine will be expanded to include:
• Children under 18 years of age as of November 1
Proof of age required.
• Immediate family members and caregivers living in the same household as a child under 18 years of age as of November 1
Family members are eligible regardless of their own age.
We are asking for the schools assistance in circulating local clinic information to all families and encouraging immunization as the best way to protect against H1N1
Attached is the most current list of clinic dates and times. Please visit www.albertahealthservices.ca for more information on eligibility and locations across Alberta.
